The NOACSC has continued to work to improve the reliability of Ohio Alerts. A couple of weeks ago, they changed the method by which Verizon messages were sent. They have now also changed the way messages are sent to subscribers using other carriers. There is no action required on your part to continue receiving updates, but you will notice that the sender of the alerts has changed.
For Verizon customers, Ohio Alerts will come from 777803480100. For other carrier customers, Ohio Alerts will come from a number starting with (567) 202-****.
Please note that if any trouble is experienced as they roll out this new feature that they may switch back to the previous method of sending the alerts temporarily. Thank you for your patience as they continue to try and improve the service we receive.

Did you know that nearly 35% of the students who attend Columbus Grove Schools qualify for the Federal Government’s Free/Reduced Lunch Program? Research shows that children living with hunger insecurity are more likely to be negatively impacted in terms of cognitive and physical growth as well as fighting infection. According to the National Hunger Study, families in poverty are many times forced into having to choose between food and other basic necessities, such as rent, utilities and medical care.
To address the challenges these families face, a new community program entitled Bless a Bulldog will help serve our needy children in Columbus Grove Schools. This program will supply these children with two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinners on the weekends. The first target date for food distribution is Friday, February 14th. Please click here to learn more about this program.
The Columbus Alumni Association and Columbus Grove Schools have partnered to start a brick paver project on the east side of the new school building. Click here to see drawings of this project. This project will allow Columbus Grove community members and alumni to purchase a personalized brick to be placed in this area to honor individuals or significant events in Columbus Grove Local Schools' storied history. Bricks are on sale for just $50 for a 4" by 8" brick. Click here for an order form. This project will start in July. These bricks will make a perfect gift to commemorate a CG alumnus, faculty member, student accomplishment, or historical event in our district's history!
