Good morning. Today is Monday, October 9, 2017.

The JV and Varsity volleyball teams were at Pandora this weekend. Both teams shot down the rockets in straight sets.
The JV held Pandora below 10 points in the first set: 25-8, 25-14. Leading the bulldogs was
· Alayna Ricker with 7 kills.
· Lauren Benroth with 14 assists.
· Emily Ridinger with 8 digs.
· Becca Choi had 10 assists and 4 kills.

The Varsity Team won 25-16, 25-21, 2515
· Carlee McCluer led the team in kills (8), digs (14) and aces (1)
· Haley Radabaugh was co leader in kills with 8 and had 4 digs
· Lauren Birkemeier led the team in blocks with 1 solo and 3 block assists. She had 7 kills and an ace.
· Paige Bellman had 3 blocks and 7 kills
· Rylee Sybert had 15 assists, 6 kills and 10 digs
· Teyah Sautter had 11 assists
The teams travel to Kalida tonight for the last PCL match of the season. Come and cheer them on!

The boys' cross country team took a skeleton crew to Fostoria Saturday to compete in the Booster Invitational against the likes of Bowling Green, Otsego and Tiffin Columbian. The team finished 7th out of 17 team in the big school division. Johnny Schmiedebusch led the Dogs with a 7th place finish in 17:30, followed by Grant Mumaugh, who was 21st in 17:59.
Jordan Bellman was 41st, Breece Pingle 63rd, Jacob Bish, 85th; and Nathan Maenle 127th in the 203 runner race.
The boys will compete in the conference meet at Van Wert this Saturday.

There will be a sign up meeting for any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in playing basketball on Tuesday in the commons during activity period. If you cannot attend but are thinking about playing please see Mrs. Weisenburger.

There is a sign-up sheet in the office for any high school boy interested in playing CYO basketball.

Rylee Sybert, Amy Vorst, Haley Radabaugh, Peyton Brubaker, and Grace Cassidy need to come to the high school office during activity period today.

This week we will be recognizing the Letter B for our College and Career week - Colleges include Bowling Green State University, Bluffton University and Baldwin Wallace University. Careers that begin with the Letter B- include a Baker, Banker, Biomedical Engineer, Bus Driver and Botanist. A special shout out to all of our teachers who attended Bluffton and Bowling Green.

This week's trivia question: What staff member at Columbus Grove attended Bluffton University and was a radio disc jockey for a late night progressive rock and roll show. Students - Please submit your answer to the front desk in the office. Staff - please submit your answer in the box located near the mailboxes. Please turn these in by Friday morning. Prizes will be awarded on Friday, October 13th.
