Good morning. Today is Tuesday, October 10, 2017.

JV and Varsity Volleyball teams travelled to Kalida last night.
The JV took an easy 25-10, 25-13 win over the Wildcats to complete their domination of the PCL. The JV team went undefeated at 6-0 thanks to solid serving, passing and hitting.
• Becca Choi had 6 kills, 1 block, 1 ace and 8 assists
• Angel Schneider both had 6 kills and a block
• Cassie Heilman had 4 digs, 2 kills and 2 blocks
• Lauren Benroth led the team with 10 assists and had 2 blocks and 2 kills
• Abby Gladwell led the team with 3 aces.
Varsity also won in straight sets, but it was literally a dog and cat fight. Every set went down to the wire with Grove running points when they needed them the most 30-28, 25-23 and 25-22.
• Rylee Sybert was named player of the match by the radio station broadcasting the match. She had 13 points off serve, 6 kills, 10 digs and 17 assists.
• Peyton Brubaker had 11 digs, more than doubling her previous season high! She added 2 blocks, 3 kills and had no hitting errors.
• Carlee McCluer led the team in kills (9) and serve receptions (22), and joined four other players with the match high single ace.
• Haley Radabaugh had 12 points off serve, 6 kills and 3 blocks
• Paige Bellman had 5 blocks and 5 kills
• Teyah Sautter had 10 assists and 3 digs
The Ladydogs take on Ada tonight in the NWC championship match. Ada comes to our gym undefeated in the NWC, and a victory gives them the outright title. If Grove can knock them off, they earn a share of the title with Crestview, Ada and Grove all having 7-1 records. Tonight is also Senior Night where our five seniors will be honored between the JV and Varsity Match. Come out and root on the Ladydogs. JV starts at 5:30.

There will be a sign up meeting for any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in playing basketball today in the commons during activity period. If you cannot attend but are thinking about playing please see Mrs. Weisenburger.

The Bulldog Press will meet tomorrow morning before school at 7:15 in the library.

The following students need to see Mrs. Wyant during activity period today…Enoch Jones, Alexis Price, Caleb Langhals, Addi Schafer, Maddie Nusbaum, and Lauren Birkemeier.

The high school library will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, October 11.

Will the members of the homecoming court please stop by Mrs. Baumgartner's room at the end of the day. You may take one of the mums from this weekends court festivities home with you.

Junior high and high school boys basketball shoe fitting will be today in the gym during lunch.

Quiz team practice will be this Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 5- 7:00 in Mrs. Schortgen's room. You can come and go as your schedule permits if you can't be there the entire time. If you are unable to attend please let Mrs. Schortgen know. Plans for the NWC tournament will be discussed.

The following seniors need to come down to the guidance office during Acivity Period today: Emily Blankemeyer, Taylor Ellerbrock, Dylan Fruchey, Carlee McCluer, Haley Renner, Kayla Reynolds, Alycea Ruhlen, Rayne Sharrits, Tori Warnecke, and Kali Wilcox.

All seniors should make sure to complete their up-to-date Activity List and place it in the Guidance Schoology.

A representative from Owens Community College will be here today in the Commons at the beginning of 9th period.
