Good morning. Today is Friday, April 13, 2018.

The Varsity Softball team moved to 6 and 1 on the season with a 14 to 2 win last night over the Lancers. Danielle Bame tied a team record going 5 for 5 with a double, triple, and 4 RBI's. Tori Warnecke went 3 for 5 with a double and 3 RBI's and Teyah Sautter went 2 for 3. Lauren Birkemeier added 2 hits with a triple. Teyah Sautter picked up the win in the circle moving to 6 and 1 on the season striking out 11 and allowing 2 runs. The Dawgs face Ottoville on Saturday.

The Junior High trackies competed in the five team meet at Liberty-Benton last night. Against great competition, the boys finished first overall and the girls finished third overall. Everyone showed a lot of grit and teamwork. Event winners were: Faith Anderson in the discus, Brynn Fortman in the 200 meter dash, Sage Clement in the high jump, the 4x200 meter relay team of Sage Clement, Brynn Fortman, Savanah Ridenour, and Koryn Halker, Carson Closson in the mile and 800, Bucky Smith in the 100, 200 and 400, and Lawson Maag in the discus. The teams will be competing in their first home meet of the season on Monday vs. LCC.

There will be a junior high student council meeting today during Activity Period in Mrs. Hermiller's room.

Attention seniors! Graduation speaker tryouts will take place April 30th, May 1st and May 2nd after school. There is a sign-up sheet in the office. We have the unique procedure that allows any senior interested in speaking at graduation to try out. Make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Buckeye Boys State and Buckeye Girl State delegates, along with the American Government Contest Winners will have their picture taken for the newspaper on Monday during activity period. Please dress accordingly.

Any girl grades 8-11 interested in playing volleyball next year, please meet in the commons today during activity period.

This past seasons football jerseys are now for sale. Players that played last year may purchase their jersey first with the cost of $20 each. Starting at 3:00 on Friday all jerseys will be open for sale first come first serve. See Mr. Schnipke to buy.

The Select choir needs to come to the chorus room today during activity period.
