Good morning. Today is Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

The Columbus Grove golf team moved to 18 and 9 on the season and 8 and 7 in the NWC. The team was led by medalist Owen Macke's 41. Zac Roberts added a 43 and Jacob Oglesbee added a 44. Austin Macke finished the scoring with a 47. The team will travel to Spencerville Monday to take on the Bearcats.

In Girls Cross Country last night, the ladies brought home a victory by edging out conference rival Lincolnview 32-36. Alyssa Ellerbrock brought home her 2nd individual win of the season posting a 19:26. Wrong Turn Ern was 2nd overall with her time of 20:21. LeeLee Price was 4th with her time of 21:19. Morgan Deffenbaugh, 12th, and Zoe Stechschulte, 15th, finished up the top 5.  The ladies next race is this Saturday in Galion with a 2pm start time.

Last night the JH Cross Country team traveled to Elida where the boys’ team had a 4th place finish and the girls finished 6th. Top 30 finishers for the girls were: Ellie Keehn-10th and Jade Siefker-28th. Top 30 finishers for the boys were: Trent Koch -5th, Logan Bryan-13th, and Logan Mershman 20th.

All our volleyball teams were in action last night and all three brought home a win!

Varsity won a fantastic match 25-19 25-15 22-25-21 against Crestview. Haley Radabaugh led the team with 16 kills. Cassie Heilman had 6 blocks. Rylee added 16 assists to her school record. You can watch the match on WOSN tonight.

JV beat Crestview in straight sets. Shay Schroeder led the team with 6 kills. Sara Dipnarine had 9 digs and Alayna Ricker had 4 aces. Reserve travelled to wapak and won in straight sets 25-18, 25-14. Madison Zimmerly and Grace Selhorst led the Reserve with 11 points earned on their serves. Kylie Shafer added 9.

JV and Varsity play tonight at home against the Wildcats of Miller City in our second PCL match up. Come and fill the stands!

Sign-ups for CYO basketball this winter will take place in the commons during activity period today.

Vision and Scoliosis screenings will be today and tomorrow. Please remember to wear contacts or glasses. We will begin vision screening with grades 11& 9 and then work through 8 & 7 with vision and scoliosis. JH please remember to wear a light single layered top that day. Please listen for your group to be called on the PA, screenings will take place in the HS girls' locker room. Mrs. Zimmerly apologizes for the interruptions. Thanks for all your help and good behavior.

There will be a Junior Class Officer meeting in Mrs. Hermiller's room during Activity Period on Friday, September 14.

Any Leo Club member interested in helping with the Eyes of Pride band competition in the concession stand may stop by Mrs. Birnesser's classroom to sign up.

A University of Findlay representative will be here today at the beginning of 3rd period in the Commons.
