Good morning. Today is Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

The JV and Varsity Volleyball teams were in action last night hosting Kalida.
The JV team started the night winning 25-19, 25-11. Koryn Halker had 4 aces and 2 kills. Meghan Blankemeyer had 3 aces and 1 kill.
We celebrated the seniors at intermission with a heartfelt and tearful ceremony.
After intermission, Varsity won in four 16-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-23. Stats for senior night: Haley Radabaugh had 2 aces, 14 kills, 6 digs and 1 block. Rylee Sybert had 14 kills, 4 blocks, 4 digs and 20 assists. Peyton Brubaker had 9 kills, 1 dig. Amy Vorst had 1 ace and 13 digs.
The final record in the PCL was 5 and 1. The team is hoping for Leipsic to lose to Miller City tonight to gain a share of the PCL title.

JV and Varsity travel to Ada tonight. This is the last NWC matchup and Grove is tied with Crestview and Paulding for the NWC title with all three teams in NWC action tonight.
The Reserve team hosts Waynesfield Goshen tonight at 5:30. Go Lady Dawgs!

Attention HS Chorus members:
Anyone who was volunteering to help junior high with the Hallelujah Chorus today is our first run through during Activity Period. Please come down as quickly as possible after the bell.

Attention Junior Class:
Be the winning designer of this year's Basketball Spirit Block T-shirt and receive yours for free! Designs need to be submitted to Mrs. Hermiller by Friday, October 12.

Those of you who signed up for the EMS ride along program, please pick up your paperwork in the office or print it from your email. As soon as that is signed by your parents and turned back in to the office, you can sign up for a week.

Seniors will be voting for their homecoming King and Queen tomorrow during activity period in their homeroom class. Please have your tablets with you.

Attention CG students. Get into the homecoming spirit at the annual Spirit Bonfire on Wednesday. The bonfire will be held at 7:00pm at the Legion parking lot. Hot dogs and s’mores will be available to roast along with other snacks. Music, games, class competitions and corn hole will be part of the evening festivities. Come out and support our football team and show your school spirit!

Homecoming dance tickets will be on sale Wednesday through Friday during the lunch periods for $5 each. No one will be admitted to the dance without a ticket. Guest dance forms are due by Thursday, October 11th.

There is an all member NHS meeting in the commons during activity period today.
