Good morning. Today is Monday, April 15, 2019.

The Bulldogs had themselves a great weekend on the Diamond picking up 2 wins on Saturday. Game 1 the Dogs beat Maumee Valley Country Day 26-2. Brady Hauenstein threw a 5 inning No Hitter and went 2 for 3 at the plate with a 3 run HR. The Dogs had 16 stolen bases in the game. Game 2 the Dogs won 13-6 by a complete game 7 inning outing by Kurt Griffith. Kurt had 8 strikeouts on the day. Dane Schroeder led the Dogs in game 2 going 4 for 4 at the plate. The Bulldogs take on Spencerville Monday at 5pm in NWC action.

In girl's track action over the weekend the lady dogs won their own invite. Event winners were Rylee Sybert 100 and 200, Alyssa Ellerbrock 1600 and 32000 Erin Downing 800 and the 4x800 relay team of Erin Downing, Addi Schafer, Morgan Deffenbaugh, and Alyssa Ellerbrock. Good job girls..

The Grove Boys finished 3rd out of 13 teams at the Bulldog Invitational Friday night at Clymer Stadium. The dogs had some impressive performances leading to them scoring over 100 points. Placing first for the dogs were Evan Hopkins in the pole vault, Zeke Halker in the high jump, Ethan Halker in the discus, and the 3200 relay team consisting of Caleb Stechschulte, Tanner Smith, Carson Closson and Jordan Bellman. Great job guys.

The winners of the Creative Foods Cake Decorating contest are:
3rd place- Izaac Clark and Riley Schumacher (Nest cake)
2nd place- Amy Vorst and Olivia Delarosa (Chick in the egg cake)
1st place - Peyton Fenbert, Abby Shafer, Sydney Witteborg (Floral cake with chocolate Happy Easter cake)
Thank you to all who took the time to vote! Mrs. Fought is very proud of all her Creative Foods students. They all worked very hard to do their best on their cakes!!

There will be a Girls Basketball Meeting on Wednesday, April 17th during activity period in the high school gym for any girl currently in grades 8-11 interested in playing. If you cannot attend, see Mr. Schroeder.

If you are interested in joining the Columbus Grove Color Guard sign up in the band room. This is open to upcoming Freshman through Juniors. Clinic and tryout day information will also be found in the band room.

Due to testing, the library will be closed today periods 1 through 4. The copier and printers will be turned off.

Bulldogs LEAD is a school wide campaign about Leadership, Encouraging Others, Achieving Goals, and Doing the Right Thing. K through 12 students will be nominated each quarter by their teachers for demonstrating these character traits. This quarter we will focus on Doing the Right Thing.

Students who are going to be juniors and seniors that are interested in Pharmacy, please check your Schoology Guidance about an opportunity for a summer Pharmacy Camp at the University of Findlay. If you have any questions, please stop in the guidance office.

Students taking the Algebra End of Course test should go to the library after attendance and announcements.

Students taking the Geometry End of Course test should go to the library after 2nd period.

After attendance and announcements, 7th and 8th graders should go to the assigned classrooms to begin testing in mathematics.
