Good morning. Today is Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

The Bulldogs eyed the May 14th matchup when it was released in August hoping for a Title Shot and that is just what happened for the Dogs. In a stellar pitching matchup which started with Josh Recker for Kalida vs Nick Woods and ended with the most Dominant arm in Northwest Ohio in Owen Recker (BGSU) signee the Bulldogs fight wouldn’t give in. Nick Woods would go 8 innings 6 hits 2 runs as his offense would back him, putting up 2 runs as well. The game featured unbelievable plays in the infield and was everything a Title game should be. In the Bottom of the 9th freshmen Luke Otto came to the plate after a Leadoff error, a sac bunt, and a walk, gave the Dogs runners on 1st and 3rd, Owen Recker on his second pitch surrendered a Game winning line drive to left field to earn the Bulldogs a share at the Putnam County Title and first since 2013. The Bulldogs will face Delphos St. John’s in the Sectional Final at Grove at 5pm Thursday. Great Day to Be a Bulldog!!  Thank you to all the Students and the Bulldog Community for coming out to support Varsity Baseball and experience the Title win with us! Go Dogs!!!
