In cross country action on Saturday, the girls varsity team placed a hard fought 7th in the 48 team Tiffin Carnival which highlighted all of the top schools in the state.

Leading the pack in the field of 343 was Alyssa Ellerbrock in 3rd in an impressive 18:39
LeeLee Price was 41st in a season beth 20:35
Erin Downing was 58th in 21:17
Ellie Keehn was 84th in 21:47
Cindy Witteborg was 132 in 22:37
The team also field a JV squad that placed an impressive 4th in a field of 22 teams.
Addi Schafer lead that field placing 28th, followed by Emily Schumacher in 33rd, Makena Dosek in 35th, Hannah Schroeder in 86th and Sabrina Henige in 88th.
Setting their PRs this weekend were Hannah Hines, Sabrina Henige, Kirsten Williams and Caitlyn Jay.

The boys' varsity team finished 5th out of 36 teams in a very tough field at Tiffin.
They were led by Carson Closson's 38th place finish in 17:14. Caleb Stechschulte was 43rd, Tanner Smith 46th, Breece Pingle 51st and Trent Koch was 81st in the 250 runner race.
The JV Dogs dominated their race, winning by a score of 32-73 over second place Minster, and placing 6 runners in the top 25.
They were led by Caleb Morman's 5th place finish. Tayden Pingle was 6th, Rob Langhals 10th, Deuce Alt 14th, Nathan Maenle 23rd and Logan Bryan 25th
in the 197 runner race.

The JH Girls had a 14th place finish and the boys finished 13th

Top 5 for the girls were:
Lauryn Auchmuty 21st, Jade Seiker 88th, Audrey Keehn 89th, Grace Morman 96th, Madilyn Maag 147th,

Top 5 Boys were:
Logan Mershman 24th, Evan Sautter 40th, Evan Pitts 76th, Boat Thompson 112th, Luke Ellerbrock 114th
The Dogs are back in action tomorrow at Elida H.S.

 

There is a student council meeting today in the commons during activity period.


Yearbook and Bulldog Press Staff members are reminded that there is a meeting tomorrow, Tuesday morning at 7:15 in the library. Please bring a notebook and something to write with to the meeting.


There will be an all member NHS meeting tomorrow in the commons during activity period. Make sure you attend.

All juniors will be attending the Defiance College Career and College Fair tomorrow morning. We will leave leave after first period and return at 11:30.

Any junior interested in taking the PSAT should sign up with Mrs. Birnesser. The deadline to sign-up is next Monday, September 16th.

 

Bulldogs LEAD is a school wide campaign about Leadership, Encouraging Others, Achieving Goals, and Doing the Right Thing. K through 12 students will be nominated each quarter by their teachers for demonstrating these character traits. This quarter we will focus on Leadership.
