K & J Greenhouses is currently looking for a high school student to work after school. Please call Ken Wright at 419-303-5869 if interested.

The following juniors need to come to the guidance office today during their study hall to finalize job shadow forms. Reagan Clymer, Sara Dipnarine, Blaine Hoffman, Trinity Kopenhaver, Aneesa Langhals, Emily Schumacher, and Grace Selhorst.

All seniors will be participating in Senior Mock Interviews on Friday, December 13th. To help prepare a little better for this, we will be having a daily interview tip leading up to this day.

Tip #1 - Score a success in the first five minutes. Some studies indicate that interviewers make up their minds about candidates in the first five minutes of the interview- and then spend the rest of the interview looking for things to confirm that decision! So what can you do in those five minutes to get through the gate? Come in with energy and enthusiasm, and express your appreciation for the interviewer’s time. (Remember, she may be seeing many other candidates that day.)

Also, start with a positive comment about the company- something like, “I’ve really been looking forward to this meeting [not “interview”]. OR “I think Columbus Grove High School is doing great work in leading students towards volunteerism, and I’m really excited by the prospect of being able to contribute.”
