What is MY TIME?

Project MY TIME is a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant operated by the Putnam County Educational Service Center.Columbus Grove Local School students are fortunate to have been offered this wonderful opportunity to provide after-school programs.

MY TIME Activities

Columbus Grove MY TIME runs an after-school program Monday through Thursday, 2:53-4:45 p.m.  During this program the time is   allotted to:
1. Snack Time and Physical Exercise (20 minutes)
2. Homework Time (30 minutes to begin nightly homework)
3. Skill Development Time (1 hour to focus on reading/math skills)
There is also a before-school program.  Students may meet a teacher in the school commons from 7:00-8:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, to get extra help with homework or assistance with areas of difficulty.  A light breakfast snack is provided.   Another part of our program is to provide activities where families are involved with their MY TIME students.  We are endeavoring to provide opportunities for families to learn together in fun environments. Some activities that have been provided in the past were:1. Suter’s Corn Maze2. Skating party at the Grove Skating Rink3. Family Computer Night4. Tour of the Neil Armstrong Museum5. Donuts with Dad6. Muffins with Mom

MY TIME Goals

Project MY TIME provides opportunities to focus attention on areas in which students may be having academic difficulties.  By using various teaching strategies, hands-on materials, and small class size in a pressure-free atmosphere, we see students successfully master skills that have stood as roadblocks to academic success.
