Homework for the

Week of September 22 - 26

Please sign this homework sheet after your child’s homework is finished each day.  Send this sheet to school with your child everyday.  This will help your child to receive positive reinforcement each day and hopefully give added incentive to complete every assignment.

Monday:

Read the book “I Like to Hop” to your mom or dad or another adult.  Read short ‘a’ words in your Red Binder and vocabulary lists up to and including # 7 in your red binder also.  Your family will be so happy to hear you read!  Be ready to read these to Mrs. Schubert Tuesday.  A little practice every night really helps.  Review the Phonics Dance chant.  Aren’t you proud of yourself?  I am proud of YOU!

Tuesday:

Write a “super sentence” telling about your best friend.  The graphic will help you write a super sentence.  Bring your sentence to school to share.  Draw a picture to go with your sentence.  Read your “Book Basket Book” so you can read it fluently.

Wednesday:

Do the math worksheet sent home tonight.  Be sure to bring it to school tomorrow so you can show Mrs. Schubert your best work.  If you have flashcards, go over the addition and subtraction facts to six.  See if you can say the sum or difference without having to use your fingers.  If you get these facts memorized now, you will not have so much to work on at a later time.  The addition and subtraction facts to 10 are to be memorized in first grade.  Have fun!

 Thursday:

Study the spelling words for the test tomorrow.  The spelling words are:  hut, nut, rut, but, shut.

You can use the arrows to help you learn to form the letters the correct way.

Interims will be sent home tomorrow, September 26.
