Good morning. Today is Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Grades 7 & 8 can come down to the guidance office this week during activity period, intervention and studyhall to earn your PAWS to be entered into the drawing. The incentive prize drawing will be held next Monday, January 23rd.

Attention 18 year old high school students: Have you registered to vote? Boys, have you registered with the Selective Service? Stop by and see Mrs. Birnesser during activity period if you need help.

The first of two official "signing days" will take place on Feb. 1st in the H.S. library at 2:05. Any athlete planning to continue his/her athletic career in college should contact Mr. Schnipke to confirm attendance at this first signing day. The second official signing day will be April 5th.

All girls in 7th and 8th grade interested in playing softball this Spring should sign up in the High School office by Friday.

The following students need to see Mrs. Smith in the office during Activity period: Dilynn Nartker, Nathan Cartwright, Hannah Nunn, Ethan McDougle, Levi Maag.

Lima Memorial Health System is offering Exploring Days to find out more about healthcare careers. On January 25th they are having Pharmacy and Respiratory Care, February 22nd Dissection with a General Surgeon, March 15th Laboratory Medicine, and April 12the Cardiac Anatomy Dissection with a Cardiologist. If interested, please stop in the guidance office for the flyer or look in Guidance Schoology for more information.

The following students need to stop in the guidance office at the beginning of activity period: Reagan McClurer, Ian Smith, Wyatt Fuerst, Brady McClurer, Caleb Bonifas, and Layla Bendele. Please bring your chromebook with you.

GROB Systems is looking for their next class of apprentices! Seniors can apply for the program until April 2nd.
Students will study electro-mechanical engineering technology
Tuition is 100%paid by GROB
Students attend classes 2 days a week at Rhodes State College, train at GROB 3 days per week and get paid a full 40 hour week even while attending classes
Students with questions can stop in the guidance office or look in Guidance Schoology for more information.

Congratulations to Abby Buescher and Keelie Langhals for being selected to the HOBY Youth Leadership Conference this summer. Students must be a current 10th grader, active members of LEO Club and complete an application with an essay. HOBY provides students unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences. Abby and Keelie will attend the conference in Michigan being held June 9-11 at Albion College.
