The girls cross country team traveled south to the Centerville Night meet on Saturday where they battled the rain and mud and brought home the 2nd place trophy in the 27 team invitational.
Leading the rain soaked way was Sarah Kamphaus in 6th
Lily Montgomery had a muddied 21st place finish
Grace Morman was right behind in 22nd
Lauren Martz splashed her way to 29th
Claire Koch had the rear of the canoe in 64th.place
The boys' cross Country team ran at the Centerville Night Lights meet Saturday.
Through the mud and muck and water and sawdust and wind the boys returned victorious, tired, dirty and smelling funky.
The team won its division with a score of 54 points to the Trailblazers 95 points.
Levi Bryan and Caiden Squillante led the charge, finishing 1-2 in the 233 runner race.
Aidan Vogt, Bryce Bonifas and Braylon Best were the next pack of Dogs, finishing 16th, 17th, and 18th respectively.
Z-ballin' Bryan, or "Mud-ballin' Bryan" finished 24th, managing somehow to not fall in the muck.
Holden Hartzog finished a respectable 47th.
Coby Perry, Grant "white shoes" Van Pelt and A.J. "sprint to the finish" Doseck also ran for the Dogs.
The teams are back in action tomorrow at Kalida for a race against other PCL teams.
The lady bulldogs soccer team beat Upper Sandusky Saturday 5-3. Lauryn Auchmuty had all 5 goals. Devanie Pingle, Ella Dotson, and Ruth Myers all had 1 assist each. Goalie Erianne Heffner had 5 saves. Come out tonight to Hall Ave to watch the girls take on NWC rival Bluffton at 5pm.
