The Lady Dawg Softball team beat Allen East 12 to 7 Saturday in NWC action. Lauren Fuerst led the way at the plate with a Grand Slam in the bottom of the sixth to help seal the victory. Breanne Hoffman added a home run as well. The Bulldogs blasted 13 hits on the game with every starting batter recording at least one hit. Abby Stechschulte picked up the win pitching a full game and striking out 4. The Bulldogs moved to 6 and 4 on the season and travel to Lincolnview tonight.
Last Friday night the varsity track team traveled to Genoa Spring Fest where the girls placed 2nd, missing 1st place to St. Ursula Academy by 1 point! Top place finishers for the girls include Lauryn Auchmuty winning the pole vault and placing second in long jump. Also placing second were Bree Closson in the 100m hurdles and the 4x200m relay team of Devanie Pingle, Kendal Palte, Allison Thompson and Jade Roeder. Third place finishers included Sarah Kamphaus in the 1600, Devanie Pingle in the 400m dash, Kendal Palte in the 300m hurdles, and the 4x400m relay team of Jade Roeder, Kendal Palte, Lauryn Auchmuty and Devanie Pingle. The girls compete at Ottawa-Glandorf tomorrow.
The Boys Track Team came away victorious for the second consecutive season by defeating the majority of Division 1 and Division 2 schools. The dogs tallied 158 points while second place Springfield scored 85. Placing first for the dogs were:
Layton Blankemeyer in the 300 hurdles and 110 hurdles
Luke Ellerbrock in the mile and 2 mile
And Loudon Auchmuty in the discus with a personal best throw of over 154 feet.
This Saturday the dogs travel to Liberty Benton for the very competitive Pat Wagner Invitational.
7th and 8th grade math testing will be tomorrow and Wednesday in the jr. high classrooms from 8:15-9:45.
HS Algebra and Geometry testing will be tomorrow and Wednesday from 9:00-10:30. Students please move to your testing room during activity period tomorrow and Wednesday. Please check with your math teachers today for testing room locations.
