Congrats to the CG Marching Band on earning a Superior rating at Maumee this past Saturday, qualifying them for OMEA State Marching Band Finals. They will perform at the State competition this Sunday at 4:30PM in Piqua!

The girls Cross Country team earned their ticket to the Regional meet on Saturday when they finished as District Runners-Up.
Lily Montgomery led the way setting her personal record of 20:22 when she finished 11th of 119 runners. Her time moves her up to 11th of the record board.
Sarah Kamphaus was close behind in 18th posting a 20:35
Grace Morman set her personal record time of 21:02 in 26th place.
Lauren Martz also set her PR of 21:12 with her 31st place finish
Claire Koch also set her PR of 22:03 and finished 45th.
Also having strong performances and setting their PRs were Dakota Dunn, 23:05 and Breanne Fuerst, 23:32
The team would like to thank all of the parents, faculty, administration and student athletes who came out to both support and help during Groves hosting of the District tournament on Saturday.

In boys cross country action over the weekend the team won the District for the 7th year in a row.
In what took last year's team 11 years to break the 5 man fastest team time record, it took this year's team only 366 days.
The 5 man team combined to run an 83:00, surpassing last year's 83:03. That is an average time of 16:36.
Levi Bryan, who finished 2nd in the 144 runner race, became only the 6th runner in Columbus Grove's storied history to break the 16 minute mark, crossing the line in 15:55, a 23 second PR.
Senior Bryce Bonifas PR'ed by 20 seconds, finishing 9th in 16:38. Aidan Voigt broke into the 16's in a big way, finishing 11th in 16:43, a 22 second PR.
Zack Bryan was 15th overall, PR'ing by 32 seconds and running an amazing 16:46.
Holden Hartzog gave the Dogs 5 guys under 17:00, with a 19th place finish in 16:56, 32 second PR.
Braylon Best also PR'ed by 8 seconds, running a 17:09 and finishing 23rd.
Caiden Squillante came back from illness and finished a respectable 17:49.

Both teams will be looking to punch their ticket to the State meet this Saturday at the Regional meet at Tiffin’s Hedges Boyer Park.

There is a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting tomorrow at 7:20 in Mr. Schafer's room. You do not have to be an athlete to come! Donuts and drinks will be provided! Hope to see you there!

The Leo Club Board of Directors has put together a project all high students and staff may participate in. We will be doing a fundraiser to donate money to the Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. The Leo Club is hosting a bingo and raffle basket event. We will be selling bingo cards during lunch next week for $1.00 each. You will receive a ticket to put your name in the raffle for a chance to win a boo basket for each bingo card you purchase. One person from each grade will win a basket. During the week of October 28th - 31st, we will play bingo and announce bingo numbers every morning. If you get a bingo you will win a candy bar. On Fri. Oct. 25th, we will announce the winners of the boo baskets. Help out and support the Hurricane Helene recovery efforts and purchase your bingo cards this week during your lunch period.
