FACT #1 Veterans Day is celebrated every year on November 11th to honor all the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This date was chosen because it marks the end of World War I in 1918, when fighting stopped on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Seniors, if you have not done so already, please click the link sent to your email by Mrs. Pingle and fill out your diploma information.
Each year the American School Counselor Association promotes the month of November as Career Development Month. Whether it be entering the workforce, enrollment in college, or enlistment in the military, the counseling department will continue introducing different career options to grades 7-12 in November. We plan to have guest speakers in the classrooms, job shadow meetings and career school counseling lessons. This week the 7th & 8th graders will receive their PAWS awards on Tuesday during activity and the juniors will have a National Guard speaker in their government classroom on Thursday. The rest of the student body can visit with the National Guard rep during lunch on Thursday. Additionally Mrs. Losh will meet individually with juniors during government class to finalize plans for their job shadows. All students and staff are encouraged to wear Camouflage on Thursday to promote enlisting in the military and to wear favorite bulldog wear on Friday to build your best "Bulldog Brand"!
Thank you and have a great day!
