1st Quarter Bulldogs LEAD

Columbus Grove School is excited to announce the introduction of a program called Bulldogs LEAD - a K-12 school wide character campaign. Each quarter will focus on a different character trait and a life skill. Each quarter teachers will nominate students and co-workers who display the character trait. One student from EL/MS/HS and a teacher will be chosen each quarter and receive a Bulldogs LEAD t-shirt. At the end of the year all individuals that have been recognized will be invited to a luncheon.

1st Quarter L - Lead by Example - Leadership
Life Skill: Show respect by shaking hands and looking people in the eye
2nd Quarter E - Encourage Others - Empathy/Kindness
Life Skill: Say please, thank you, and excuse me when it is appropriate
3rd Quarter A - Achieve Goals - College/Career and Growth Mindset
Life Skill: Turn in your homework every day and study for test
4th Quarter D - Do the Right Thing - Service
Life Skill: Always wear your school colors on Friday!

High School Student - Rylee Sybert

The Guidance Department has started lessons and activities to focus on the Bulldogs LEAD campaign. Motivational Monday quotes, classroom guidance lessons, Lunch Bunch groups, Career Chats and a College Fair visit are just a few of the activities taking place this quarter.   All of these activities promote LEADERSHIP and the importance of this quality.

Financial Aid Parent Meeting

Seniors and parents interested in learning more about filling out the FAFSA can attend either of the following Financial Aid Parent meetings: Wednesday, September 26th at 7:00 PM in the Kalida High School Cafeteria OR Monday, November 19th at 7:00PM in the Columbus Grove High School Library.  If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Losh at 419-659-4310.

Defiance County College Fair was hosted this past week at Defiance College.  Columbus Grove juniors were able to visit with over 75 college representatives to discuss college and military options available to students.

Senior Guidance Newsletter-This is a newsletter created by Mrs. Losh, and it will be posted at the beginning of each month to the Guidance News for seniors and their parents/guardians.  Underclassman and parents may want to check this out to help with planning for their futures.
